2017/18 ISU Grand Prix Final - Nagoya, JPN - Dec. 7-10

Skate America was the final event in the Senior GP and as each of the disciplines was completed we found out who the 6 qualifiers and 3 alternates were in each one.
The question now, of course, is will any of the qualifiers opt out of competing, especially with the need to fly to Japan in this very busy Olympic season.

It is being reported today that Boyang Jin of CHN is out of the men's GPF event due to his ankle injury. First alternate Jason Bates of the USA is IN. This is confirmed on the updated list of entries: http://www.isuresults.com/events/gpjgpf ... es_Men.htm

In the ladies event, Evgenia Medvedeva of RUS has withdrawn and first alternate Satoko Miyahara of JPN is IN.

The first day of the GPF competition is done - did anyone watch any of it? I'm away from home and staying with a friend so haven't been able to watch.

It was interesting to see Paul Martini doing the interviews of the Canadian skaters at the GPF on behalf of CBC :)
